root for the dodgers but for a different reason imo...you cant really look at the schedule in baseball like you could in football....certainly not with 20 games left...also there are so many teams in the mix here that you should really only concentrate on the team who currently holds the wild card spot you are going for

always root against the team with the best record to lose as that is the only number you care about and then take care of your own bidness
