Dingos are known as Austrialian Pitt Bulls on the streets.  Real talk.

How's a Pit any different than a German Shephard running around?  Or a Rottie?  I've seen the carnage that pit's can do, but I've seen Lab's attack too.  It happens.  The main issue is the owner which isn't socializing a dog properly, then the added negligence of letting it loose in a contained environment.  FWIW the city of Wilmington did this years ago with Pits, and it changed absolutely nothing.  Punish the owners, not the breed.

You're right, I don't live in a typical city setting.  Got me there.

I was talking to somebody about this law and how much it pissed them off....can't remember who.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I knew you'd be glad to know about that

Anyone watch the HBO: One Nation Under Dog: Stories of Fear, Loss and Betrayal ?

Squaw took the pup to the vet today because he was noticeably ill.  103.7 temp and his abdomen appeared to be inflamed.  X-rays show that my dog is full of shtein.  He destroyed a chew toy the other day so I think he might have swallowed a piece of it and it's causing a blockage.

Just put down my 18 year old Beagle today. Hardest thing ever.

Yeah, sorry man.  18 yrs is a nice long life for a dog though.

My mom put our dog down last week. She came home and she was laying in a pile of her own shtein. She couldn't walk anymore and was senile. It's tough but in the end you know it's the right thing to do.

Also, the stray pup we took in (Apollo) is fine.  Turned out that "blockage" in his intestines from the X-ray I posted a month ago wasn't food or a piece of chew toy, it was all gas. No idea why but that dog just needed to fart really bad. Vet said when he finally let one go it was the most horrible thing she ever smelled.

And speaking of that pup, this sumbitch listens like shtein when you're calling him. He sits on command, speaks on command and goes to his bed on command, but this little icehole does not respond to his name or a whistle or anything at all when he's outside.  I've never had to take a dog to obedience training before but I'm seriously considering it with him.  I'm really getting sick of chasing this farger all over the place and the urge to kick him in the face gets harder to resist every day.

Yeah he's been having trouble walking for a few years now, but nothing serious, just from arthritis. Then the other day he didn't eat, and the last two days I'd come home and he'd be in the exact same spot I left him. Not even attempting to get up and come over to me when I'd get home. He was hurtin.

Just a hard thing to deal with. And a weird feeling not having him around after being in my life since I was 6.
