Sixers @ Lakers New Year's Day.

That very well could be Howard's debut game for LA.

so are the sixers the 3rd best team in the east or am i just too excited?

when rose's ankles break again someone better punk that bitch lebron in the ec finals. and by punk i mean kill because he is almost in the jordanzone these days.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'd speculate they're now a 2-4 team seed where as before they were a 6-8 seed.

Chicago will have Rose back mid-year, but how effective will he be?
Brooklyn might be legitimately improved, but Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez might add up to one star.
Boston smells a lot like the 2012 Phillies.

So, yeah... 2-4. Very unlikely all 3 of the above teams stay ahead of a healthy Sixer team.

i know you all despised him but i cant believe you are dismissing the loss of iguodala so easily and basically acting like the sixers have the same team except they acquired bynum

in the large scheme of things losing iguodala means nothing but as for this season its a huge loss...they basically now have andrew bynum who is not even close to a superstar and a bunch of sixth men types and this is a 3 seed in the east?....ill believe that when i see it

also brand and his contract needed to go but you are esentially replacing him with lavoy allen who showed some shtein last year and im ready to see if he can play a full time role in a full nba season but i also have no idea if he can

maybe bynum becomes wilt chamberlain this year and carries the team but until i see him domiante the eastern conference im not ready to elevate this team 5 or 6 seeds in the conference

Iguodala's replacement is already on the roster and he's a better scorer and rebounder. The only part of Iguodala's game they'll miss is his defense. Last season was his best and they sold high on him. Good for them. In exchange they got the most desirable Center in the league. Having Bynum and his ability to block shots in the middle nixes whatever they'd get back from Iguodala's defense. The bottom line is he was as good as gone once his deal ended because we all know he was overpaid. I will miss his dazzling dunks, but they did as good as one could of possibly hoped in getting what they could for him.

I think the defensive tradeoff is a net negative even with Bynum's ability inside, and I'll miss iggy even as much as he frustrated me.  But the team should be better as a whole.

One thing I don't know much about regarding Bynum is his passing ability.  With Wright, Richardson, and Young, the team finally is fairly setup with spot up shooters.  Bynum is going to get doubled down low a lot.  Any clue what his skills are like in kicking it out now that the team finally has people who should be making open 3s with regularity?

Thad let me down last season. I'm still his biggest supporter but he needs to show me something next year. And yes I'm talking about Turner. To me going into next season with Turner and Iguodala wasn't an option. You had to move one or the other, if they had decided to move Turner and kept Iguodala I would have been fine with the move [actually would have preferred it but I don't know how they would have made that work salary wise]
