zolecki kills amaro pretty good in this blog post without ever using his name

To summarize:  One large, stinking pile of suckitude.

PhillyPhreak54

Good stuff from Zolecki. Hopefully Todd reads it and re-thinks ripping Charlie.

The players farging stink.

Pretty impressive display of suckitude by the Pirates in the first inning.  Can't wait to see how the Phils top that!

MDS

its chase utleys aura. his mere presence scores 4 runs.

and lol @ this. can you be a bigger homer if you tried? no one has ever said its all charlie. but he aint helping.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

charlie is just as hideous a manager today as he was in 2008...he does the same mind numbingly dumb shtein today as then....the difference is that now he has a much worse roster
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

MDS

plus in 08 he had

durbin = long man
madson = righties late
romero = lefties late
lidge = closer
dobbs = first bat off the bench

it wasnt really that hard after that. now can you imagine how many extra wins theyd have now if la russa was the manager?

and he had an everyday lineup of guys that played against righties and lefties, he could literally photocopy his lineup from opening day and use it in 75% of the games
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Charlie is a good manager.

And it's hilarious that I'm now a homer but in years past when I bitched you'd be on me as bitching and to shut up because games in June don't mean shtein.

lol yeah ok...they should fire him and let Gross or Mackanin run it.

Maybe get Havas' boy LaRussa outta retirement.

SD

Charlie's strength as a manager is that he knows his players better than any other manager in the league. His in game moves and acumen leave a lot to be desired. When's the last time he did something during a game that you thought to yourself "that was a smart move"?

Rome

It's amazing how much Manuel is like Reid in that respect.  Great rapport with his players but an almost Forrest Gump-like inability to strategize.
