If you take this literal, it's going to sound rediculous...but is there such a thing as insects that talk? There's a spider or something living inside a pot we have in the kitchen and its just making all types of sounds...almost like its communicating...but it sounds so weird I'm afraid to actually see what the farg it is. I'm just going to continue to listen to it and hope it just dies off.

It could be a tiny alien trapped inside the pot.  Let it out FOR GODS SAKE LET IT OUT!

I think it's dead or asleep...either way...I'll see what's in the pot and take a picture of it...then store in on my phone next to the picture of the blue spider species I discovered because I don't know how to upload to the interweb. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Was talking about this at work yesterday.  And yeah, I'd probably do the same.  I'd like to think that I would be more "civilized" than that and would only use as much force as necessary to subdue the guy and contact authorities, but I imagine that if I caught someone molesting one of my kids then full blown rage would take over and I'd have no control over myself.

Surprisingly, someone in small town Texas has some common sense.

Easy to say this now, but Im not even a parent (that I know of, at least), and I am pretty certain I would have reacted the same way. How could you not? Better question to those who say they would have reacted differently, what exactly would you have done? Slam a locker really hard, so the guy knew someone was there in hopes he would stop? The guy deserved to die...anyone that molests a child does, for that matter.

That's a whole other story if that was the case, but in general, if you're a deadbeat you also deserve to die.

I'm thinking the same thing. It's his word against the dead guys.

I don't know what I'd do.  Honestly, my first instinct would probably be to get the child into my arms and away from the threat rather than jumping on the bad guy and killing him.

yeah, if you are kicking a dude's head in...who is looking after the child?  you know, the traumatized child, who is likely not enjoying the sight of Daddy killing someone....

I think I'd scoop the kid up and get help.
