Don Ho

Who the farg would want Polanco?

As long as we have to endure this awful excuse for a bullpen Herr Smugness can kiss our ass.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

lol so no one wants Wigginton or Nix but they'll want Polanco.

ok.

Polly can play 2nd and 3rd, still has a glove and can....hit .250? They other two are garbage.

But anyway my point is on the top of the trade list should be pence, hamels, doc, etc.  Moving wiggerton or nix or even Polly won't do anything.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SunMo

when you move nix you clear his contract for next year, not sure what you don't get about that.

and moving hamels would be historically stupid but not surprising for this GM
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

MDS

How much is he on the books for? It can't be enough to matter.

And yes, trading Cole would be good. They aren't resigning him. And they can't win this year

an aging pitching staff and you want to trade the one guy who will be productive for 5-7 years.  good call.

they are re-signing him.

They're not going to sell nor should they. They'll turn it around.

Go team.

ice grillin you

anyone and everyone can go...if you can find a sucker for cliff lee then he is by far priority #1...his deal is an abomination and has four more years where as halladay just has two....if you are for resigning heidi than getting rid of lee or halladay is essential....you cant have three 20+ million pitchers on the roster

beyond phifer i would take it on a player by player basis...you have to weigh what you could get in return versus what they will cost....this is why id deal heidi...he will bring back a haul and i just dont want to sign a pitcher to a 5-6 year 130-140 million dollar deal....especially a pitcher who i believe has a good chance of having health issues in the coming few years

the focus here should be building their farm system...they need to hit rock bottom before they can get back up

the big story here tho is that smug actually came out this early in the year and said publicly that they could be sellers....thats absolutely shocking to me
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

if they are then fine. but i dont believe they will, so they need to get something for him.

and yes EVERYONE can go. the only really unmovable deals are jimmy, papelboner and choke (no one and i mean no one is touching that horrendous deal). i wonder if anaheim will deal trout for either cole or doc...

^^^These two morons still think the Phillies are a small market, small budget team.

They don't need to restock the farm completely because in 2 or 3 years they'll be able to buy young talent if that's what they want to do.
