i dont know youd have to list all the instances of 0-3 deficits for me to tell you....but its rare that a team clearly better than another goes down 0-3

I didn't check on 3-0s, but in the last 20 years, the only #1 or #2 seed (since that's basically what the Penguins are) to fall down 3-1 and still win the series was the Caps three years ago against the Rangers

2006 #2 Stars - won game 4, lost 5 at home
2003 #2 Red Wings - swept
2001 #2 Senators - swept
1999 #2 Senators - swept
1993 #1 Bruins - swept
1993 #1 Blackhawks - swept

with the exception of the 03 wings none of those teams is as good as this years penguins

and the wings lost to an excellent ducks team that made it to the 7th game of the stanley cup finals on the back of a goalie who had one of the all time great postseasons

i think we can all agree the flyers arent getting anywhere near the finals this year and their goalie is having one of the all time worst playoffs

if the next round somehow starts with a grouping of Philly/FL/Washington/Ottawa (unlikely, yes, but those are 2-2), all bets are off regarding who comes out of the East. 

I don't think Philly has the ability to overcome the discipline of a Boston or NYR in a series right now unless the defense and goaltending drastically improves (which it won't). I think they probably could/should beat any of FL/Washington/Ottawa/NJD even with Bryz being Bryz.

florida and new jersey they could beat for sure.....caps maybe....but im talking bout the cup....they have zero chance of making it there

while i wouldn't say zero, i agree if they beat Pitt and have to play NY or Boston, I don't like their odds.  But all of the other series are in doubt right now, and the Flyers path really might be Pitt -> FL -> Washington/Ottawa or something.  All I'm saying is if they finish off pitt and can avoid NY or Boston, it isn't very hard to see them winning series against Washington/Ottawa/FL/etc.
