I'm sure Jerruh likes getting spanked by the league for his contract to Miles Austin. Oakland is a good call but they still have work to do if they hope to wrestle the cap management brilliancy prize from Washington and their $41 million guaranteed for Albert Haynesworth. Or perhaps that was part of a bigger plan we just don't see yet, but IGY and ExtremeSkin Art have the trained eyes to see?

I am pretty sure it is recognized across the league the Eagles do one of the best jobs managing the cap.

As far as the drafting is concerned it is drafting defense that has been the problem. On offense I count 8 starters that they have drafted and I am including Avant.

so "many" teams envy the eagles because two teams got banged by goodell for not listening to him?....that doesnt make much sense

plus i have never seen the salary cap stop the skins from getting a player they wanted...i think you may be confusing salary cap and player personnel....either way i dont think any teams envy the eagles but theres a big difference btwn being smart with money and being smart with who you sign or draft with that money...in other words any perceived advantage you think the eagles have with the salary cap certainly isnt getting them anywhere

the difference btwn the skins and eagles is the skins having attempted to buildthru trading all their draft picks and making dumb free agency signings...not the amount of money they have under the cap

same with the cowboys...they dont have an issue with the salary cap...where they have mostly failed is thru the draft because their owner is the gm

even with that since 2005 the cowboys have more regular season wins than the eagles...yes the eagles have a couple more playoff wins but i hardly think that makes dallas much less many teams envious of them

the eagles have a good franchise...they could be a lot worse they could be a lot better...but no one wishes they were them

Saw a comment somewhere on the interweb about this that was something like "Good riddance.  Philly only has enough room for 1 Bell that doesn't work right."

Can't really blame the FO for this guy as he was basically the biggest free agent tackle last year, but goddamn was he terrible.
