Excellent game by Bryzgalov tonight.  Hopefully he's finally gaining some form.

Shut out none the less. They should play without half the defense more often.

Bryz plays well vs. the Caps. The Flyers in general have this season.

yeah he was really good last night....probably his first great game of the year...the shutout is one thing but in getting it he made a handful of excellent stops...sometimes you can get a shut out but not have a great game...that was not the case last night

in the flyers last 40 games they have only had one lead in the first ten minutes

great mark howe ceremony last night...no one does those things better than they do...one reason why they are the classiest organization in pro sports

PHILADELPHIA -- What's in a name? For Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Nicklas Grossmann, it's an extra n.

The Flyers had a familiar face, yet a new name on their roster Tuesday night: Grossmann.

Grossmann had long had his name spelled Grossman -- with one n -- on his jersey, his locker cubicle, everything because that's how it was assumed he spelled his name.

Grossmann, acquired last month from the Dallas Stars, said a Flyers employee noticed the discrepancy when he saw Grossmann's passport. Grossmann confessed his name had been spelled incorrectly since his rookie season in 2006. Philadelphia's 3-2 win over Detroit on Tuesday night was the first game he wore a jersey with the correct spelling of his name in the NHL.

Grossmann said when he was young, he didn't want to complain, saying, "I was just happy to have a jersey with my name on it."

Well, at the very least, Bryz's confidence has probably gotten a nice boost over the last few games

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

He's been pretty freaking good the past few games.  Hope he keeps it up.

For a media market they would capture the entire province, but like 10% of the metro area's population would have to go to the games every night. They would be better served putting another team in Toronto or somewhere else in Southern Ontario.

Did you see Grapes go nuts last week over the Maple Leafs being the only team in the NHL without a player from Ontario? Even I have to admit that is kinda farged up. The Flyers have six.
