iguodala has been ridiculous on monte ellis in the second half....ellis was lighting up jeru in the first half....doug makes the half time adjustment putting iguodala on him and monte goes away...what makes it especially impressive besides the fact he completely neutralized a flaming hot player which is not easy to do...is that hes guarding a much quicker man and is still locking him down

It was a mirage!! We all know Iggy is not an elite defender.

im not saying i wouldnt trade him cause i would in the right deal....but it kills me when people say trade him for a box of donut holes...doesnt matter just get rid of him....

i know the normal fan cant see defense like they can see a three pointer or a drive to the basket so they dont know what iguodala brings to the table...but for god sakes can you imagine lou williams or evan turner trying to guard the people that iguodala locks down on a regular basis...their opponents points per game would go up by like five if he wasnt on the team

remember the time he gave up a jumper to carmelo?

HE SUCKS
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

correct if im wrong but theyve lost 2 games to bad teams (nets, twolves)

and the nets was OT and the twolves was bullshtein

even though they cant beat good teams this is fairly impressive

Those are the only two losses to non-playoff teams from my recollection.   Sixers lost to the Nets cause Deron Williams exploited Meeks on the defensive switches late in the game, and the Wolves relied on that ridiculous Iggy reach-in foul, as well as Rubio's only good shooting night in like the last month.

lol...when i said overrated i was mocking the people who hate on iguodalas defense (:sunnybatsignal)...not the team

but since you brought it up...there is nothing remotely impressive about what they have done this year...especially beating a bunch of zesty teams

that was an unrelated comment to the igy stuff. im fine with igy, i get what he brings defensively, especially since this team isnt gonna light up the world on offense they need to limit the amount of points as much as they can

and also it is kinda impressive. its the first sign that they may have something in that they dont take nights off and beat who they are supposed to beat. 2 years ago they were iffy to beat the warriors, now they crush them. that has to be better than being bad?

I think most basketball fans realize that he is a great defender. They might not realize the importance of it.

The reason most wanted him trade myself included is because his act had gotten stale. He was acting like a superstar even though he isn't.

I haven't seen a lot of games this year but the few I have, Iggy seems to have toned it down a bit with the "superstar" attitude.  Either he's realized he's not all that or Collins has really gotten in his ass about it and he's buying into the system.  Or maybe I'm just catching the wrong games.  Still, I'd love to see them be able to keep him while adding a legit scorer to the mix.

superstar attitudes dont look to pass before they shoot...which is something hes done basically his whole career

he's a good defender, he's not great.  pippen was great, gary payton was great.  iguodala is good.  maybe when carmelo isn't dropping 27 in his face we can start to think about him being great
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

ice grillin you

hes def as good a defender as those guys...hes just not a hof type player in other areas like them

and lol at citing carmelo against him...he handles carmelo everytime they play...dook shot like 9-26 against him

if watching him isnt evidence enough....think about this....would a player of his low stature even sniff the olympic team if he wasnt a great defender?
