perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Would someone please explain to me why these three primary/caucuses don't confer delegates?  And if they don't, how can they count for anything?

Republican party really is a hot mess right now.

Who cares? All I know is that the GOP field just turned into even more of a colossal goatfarg. Santorum strikes me as an out and out lunatic WAY out of line with mainstream Americans. Soooo, go Santorum?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

They need to just cancel this whole process and just tell Obama in a letter or text....don't call Mayflower you're good.

Anyone else puzzling over the nation's newfound respect for Catholic Bishops?  Have people forgotten that these men who are complaining about being required to provide the same health care to their employees as anyone else must do are literally the same ones who for decades have been molesting children, sheltering their criminal peers, and covering it all up?

What in the world makes them think they can set up shop as anything other than a church--a hospital, a soup kitchen, an employment training center, etc.--but continue to exempt themselves from conventional secular law as if they were still a church?

I'm disappointed that Obama hasn't come out and said as much in direct terms.  The policy he set is correct: churches themselves have one set of rules, but their other enterprises and pursuits must follow the same law as everyone else.  He's losing the messaging battle right now, not least because he's been (typically, almost predictably) frozen like a deer in the headlights of vociferous dissent from his opposition.

Man up and tell them to F off, Obama.  The people are on your side--polling shows that even voting Catholics are on his side regarding this--but they aren't eager to stand up for a man who seems to shrink rather than swell under enemy fire.

The constitution doesn't apply to 3/5ths like Obama.

Democrats rout Republicans on payroll tax cut  Sets up an intra -Republican battle of leadership vs. tea party, even as the candidates for nomination rend each other to bits.  This is just too good for Obama.  Something is fishy.

article includes this 1984esque sentence:

QuoteThose talks would also include potential cost offsets for the payroll tax cut extension, even if it has already passed, the GOP leaders said in their statement.

Leave it at 4.2%, take the cap off so that all payroll income is subject to the tax, then apply it to the cap gains tax as well.

Everyone should be paying into the system, not just working stiffs below a certain income level.
