That preggers pic is truly one of the more horrific images ever posted to the web.

C'mon now, isn't she just 'glowing'??

Tried watching Archer last night. There were some funny parts and I remember something about Burt Reynolds but I woke up around 2 AM with the TV still on so it wasn't good enought to keep me awake.

rjs246

I only saw about five minutes of it last night but the Burt Reynolds stuff was just plain old not funny. They are trying to be too self-referential, which is why their last show, Frisky Dingo, ultimately failed.

Having said that I set the DVR to record all episodes and every now and then 4 or 5 will pop up and every single one of them makes me laugh, so I'm prepared to write off last night's episode as a one-time dud.

Yeah last night was one of the worst. Basically every joke was referencing something from the previous episodes like ruster says. That show is pretty much my religion but last night was a little of a let down

rjs246

So I sat down and watched the whole episode last night. It was meh. Not as bad as I originally thought but not nearly anywhere close to as good as usual.

I was going to post this in the science thread, but whatever...

http://www.startrek.com/article/star-treks-transparent-aluminum-a-near-reality

QuoteDon't you just love it when Star Trek's fiction becomes reality? It's happening more and more. The latest case in point: the transparent aluminum that "Professor Scott" swapped for plexiglass in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. According to the Daily Mail newspaper in England, it's not quite there yet, but it's inching closer, as scientists have devised a transparent aluminum-based ceramic – aluminium oxynitride -- that's almost as strong as metallic aluminum. Referred to as AION, the material is four times harder than fused silica glass, 85 per cent as hard as sapphire and stable up to a temperature of 1,200C. And how strong is AION? Strong enough, at 1.6 inches thick, to stop .50-caliber bullets which can easily penetrate more than twice that thickness of conventional laminated glass armor.

Did we mention it's transparent?

i saw the gail the snail episode of IASIP last night...haven't seen that in years. one of the best episodes of that show ever.

dennis - "did you bang gail the snail"
frank - "ew no. we drank a bunch of those monster energy drinks and then dry humped. it was weird."

also, wine in a can.

SD

The Gail the Snail episode was probably the best IASIP episode ever.

Gail: "I'm totally giving Frank a handy under the table"
Frank: " That she is...although you're sort of just mashing it in"

Dennis: "Nobody wants to salt the snail but she gives you no choice"

cracked me up how their teeth were red the whole episode.

I barely paid this any attention other than to give it a chuckle...then my wife turned on the news, and it was a featured multi-media piece, which is absolutely ridiculous.
