Dogfish Head is a Delaware brewery, and I would probably guess one of the more famous "small" craft beer breweries. They had a show on one of those Discovery Channels for a while, and they're beer is pretty widely distributed. Not sure how much of it, if any, makes it out to CA though.

If you're into beer that's a bit different, and strong, you'd like it. The Burton Baton is 10%, the Hellound is 10%, and the Immort is 11%.

I'll send you a six pack each of Longboard Lager and Primo Beer for some of that!  I think Seabiscuit told me about Dogfish Brewery as I have heard of it.

i drink tanqueray and tonics all the time, like a liter a week, but wanted to change things up so i got hendricks gin this week. add cucumber slices instead of lime juice and its pretty delicious. super smooth.

Diomedes

my favorite gin was a Tanqueray variety called Malacca.  Cancelled ten years ago or so.

I'm drinking mostly bourbon these days but god damn I love gin.

Haha I'm not quite sure what the price or logistics of shipping beer overseas would be, but maybe SB or Sus would be able to hook you up?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Yes.

Really, after chugging cheap light beer through my late teens/early 20's, I just got sick of crappy light tasting beer. Plus it takes way too much (like 5-6+ cans) just to get any type of light buzz on with that shtein. And my stomach can't handle putting that much liquid in it anymore, so I've moved to liquor and strong craft beers so I can drink smaller amounts and get the same desired effect. They taste a hell of a lot better, and Dogfish is just easy to find here in DE/I know I like it.

We had a couple of 120s from our trip last month. It's almost too much for me, but I'll have one once in a while. Hopefully they solved their contamination issues for good.

Last night I opened a bottle of Affligem Noel that I picked up at Total Wine. Not bad. Interesting spices in it, and just enough sweetness to support the ABV. Not an everyday beer, but a nice seasonal change of pace.

MmmmHop!

I guess it makes sense since their fans from back in the day are finally old enough to drink now.

I was traveling back from Denver last month and upgraded to first class.  Late evening connecting flight out of SF so most everyone was asleep.  I was one of the few enjoying the free libations so the crew was taking good care of me.  I was in the mood for a Gin & Tonic so the flight attendant said they had Bombay Saphire.  Good shtein.  Hadn't had Bombay Gin in some time so it was quite satisfying.
