Apparently Laviolette needed someone new to take out his frustrations on with the drunk boys gone.  JVR was a healthy scratch last night after getting ripped in a team meeting earlier in the day

My understanding is that he's got a knee injury.

I wore a Richards jersey to the liquor store tonight.

SD

Laviolette benched him a few years ago and it worked well.

Apparently Columbus is just what the doctor ordered.

Geriatric Jagr has turned Giroux into a full fledged superstar. It's been fun to watch.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

gotta give Holmgren credit for both the Jagr pickup which i hated, and for believe Giroux was ready to be the feature player.  He rolled the dice with JVR's contract, but in the long run if he finds his game consistently it's a steal.

JVR's got the size and the skill, just a matter of putting it together for a full season.

I think they shoulda kept him with Jagr and Giroux, but can't argue with how Hartnell's been producing since being moved up there.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Tampa is trying to play a 1-3-1 trap.  Twice (so far) the refs have blown play dead because the Flyers just stood still with the puck.

Seabiscuit36

The first whistle i can see, Coburn just stoped moving, his money was weighing him down.  Pronger was moving around with the puck and the refs were making up a whistle.

They're still doing it. I say good for them. The Lightning are playing like chickens.

Voracek is fast and talented but he seems really unfocused or unpolished or something. I can't put my finger on it but he's missing something important from his game.

finishing

ive been very impressed with him all year...especially his effort...i guess because hes eurotrash and was a high pick after seeing the pavel brendls and nik zherdevs i expected the worst....but he isnt afraid to go in traffic he works really hard and obviously has talent...he just can find the net...he doesnt have a great shot which contributes to that but hes had tons of chances this year that didnt require a great shot to finish...like lots of chances around the net and in the slot...hopefully its just bad luck and bounces not going his way
