At least he acknowledges his poor play and doesn't blame the D or bad luck. He's been pathetic.

SunMo

farg bad luck, i'm sick of hearing "jonsey" and all those douches whine about bounces.

but the defense is a legitimate point.  they are letting teams skate into the zone with no interference, they aren't clearing the net which leads to those "bad breaks"

is bryz playing well?  no.  is he horrible right now, probably.  but he and bob were left hanging out to dry last night and that's been a constant theme this season

True, But I really cant recall a huge save in the past 3 games.  Just one would be nice

I'm not worried about the big saves, just make the routine ones. Once you make the routine ones routine the big ones will come easier. The D is part of the problem but the shots they're letting in are ones they should be stopping. Soft goals have become the norm.

i actually loved last night because they scored eight times

id much rather score a thousand goals and miss the playoffs than score two goals a game and be unwatchable

just maybe the goalies arent great...

Ilya Bryzgalov stared into the cameras, didn't blink and bared his soul.

"You have terrible goalies, it's no surprise why you have terrible goals," he said after the Flyers' 9-8 loss (see story) to the woeful Winnipeg Jets on Thursday.

Not since Ron Hextall has a Flyer goalie truly thrown himself under the bus. Bryz did.

"I have zero confidence in myself right now," he said. "If you probably throw a ball instead of the puck, I'm not gonna stop it."

The Flyers' $51 million goalie has four straight losses. He's given up 18 goals over that span.

He came in behind by four goals against Winnipeg. His teammates got him a lead. He couldn't hold it.

"I'm terrible," Bryzgalov said. "I will apologize in front of the fans and in front of my teammates. I don't know what is going on. I have no answer.

"I thought the last game in Montreal, nothing can happen that would be worse. Today was worse."

He said he's never felt like this in his nine-year NHL career. Forget about communication problems with his shoddy defense. It's worse than that, he said.

"We can't stop the puck; it's very simple," he said. "You can't ask more from the forwards. They score eight goals and we're still losing. Terrible goals and it's me ... I'm lost in the woods right now."

So in 4 games Schenn has 0 points and is a -5. He didn't do so hot when the Kings brought him up last season. He might be one of those guys who can dominate in the juniors but his game doesn't translate to the pros.

4 games is definitely a big enough sample to judge.  they should trade him when he gets healthy.

Much more settled game defensively for the Flyers.  Of course, can't get much less settled than the last game.

Nice shothander by Talbot.

And 9 games with the Kings where he has 2 assists and was a -2. So through 13 games he has 2 points and is a -7. Next Richards, I'm convinced. Have you seen anything from him that makes you think he's going to be a good NHLer? Sometimes guys can dominate in the AHL then blow once they make it to the big show.

SunMo

who the farg can tell after 9 games, jesus.

dom brown sucks too i'm sure you think
