I normally dvr the walking dead.. but i find myself skipping huge chunks of the show at a time and i hardly feel like i have missed anything. I generally love the zombie genre but this show feels completely pointless.

rjs246

My love of zombies is well documented, but this show is boring more often than not. I watch it, and enjoy it in the same way that I vaguely enjoy all bad zombie movies, but it really isn't as good as it could be and it isn't exactly must see television for people who don't give a shtein about the zombie genre.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Dawn of the Dead.

All of the original zombie movies are horrible now. But the Dawn of the dead original and dawn of the dead remake are both stellar within the time period of the genre.

As SD pointed out, it's not a show to watch if you want non-stop action/gore.

The writing/acting needs to improve, and I think it has since Season 1. Still a long ways to go though.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

so there's no action, and it also has bad acting and writing. hmm.

in fact i think the acting has gotten worse since last year.

but zombies.

Munson

I didn't say there was no action, just that it wasn't going to be "Omg being chased by zombies" every episode. Especially with the way AMC likes to save budget in all of their shows.

I think the acting and writing has vastly improved from last season. That horrible little sister isn't around anymore, god was she bad. I thought this past episode was the best written one yet, and it still had a couple of speed bumps where you're just kinda like "....okay..."

I don't buy into things like IGY trying to project how he would react in a situation onto other people. You might think you'll be in a logical thinking mood enough to say "farg it, I'm just lucky to be here!" but distraught mother may not be. People react differently to different situations.

the writing is by far the worst part of the show.

my biggest complaint is that are the zombies self aware or are they not?

because it changes every 30 minutes. one scene they shuffle along as if they dont know where they are... the next scene they're getting sneaky and know exactly where they're hiding.

i havent watched nearly as much as you guys but i also noticed at the end of last week when those two doods came out of the trailer all the zombies were like in full sprint mode after them...every other episode ive seen they are moping around like baseheads

if you've seen a few last year and both this year, then you've seen it as much as any of us. it's ok.

ice grillin you

i saw less than one episode last year due to you idiots freakin out about it....and two episodes this year because i read in entertainment it was the highest rated cable tv show ever...so if theres only been three episodes total then ive seen almost as much as anyone in the country and it would confrim how ridiculous it was last week when the zombies all of sudden went carl lewis

you love it. it's fine. calm down.

Munson

They weren't sprinting last week, they were moving faster then a slow walk though. They moved at that speed last season too though if you remember the scene where Rick turns the corner on the horse and runs into that horde. They move pretty quickly after him.
