Bryz looks like shtein again. What a waste and now we're stuck with him for the next decade.

The first two goals he let in were soft as hell and were similar to other goals he's been letting in this season. Someone making what he is should be making routine saves.

SD

lol at Jones and Jackson saying Bryz has bad luck because some of the goals have taken bad bounces or deflections. Maybe if Bryz was in the right position those pucks don't go in. Goaltending is all about positioning your body so that you can save 75% of the shots coming your way without having to move a limb.

SunMo

pretty sure that he didn't forget how to play goalie.  it's 9 games into the season.

Or maybe he's not that good. How many more games do you let him go out there and stink it up?

hes not as bad as hes playing but hes not that good either....his contract was absolutely ridiculous

as i knew would happen the worst thing possible for the flyers was reemer having a bunch of shots on goal in the playoffs last year and thinking he could be a first (or even second) line nhl'er...schenn is either awful or not near ready for the nhl...no wonder the kings gave him up so easily...

neither richards nor carter are superstars but one thing they gave the team was incredible depth...they used to have a roster where they could almost make up four number two lines...now they have one...the forwards are pathetic

JVR looks like shtein, but bumping him down to the 3rd line isn't doing him any favors. Why would they bump a waste like Hartnell up but demote a young guy like JVR is baffling. I realize Hartnell is playing better but JVR is struggling. Schenn is very good at almost scoring. Lavy needs to re-juggle his line combinations because what he's throwing out there now is not working. It's like Juan sticking with the wide 9, Matthews, and Page even though every person on Earth can see it's not working.

lilja and walker are just atrocious....their play last night was just horrid

cooter needs to go back to juniors or be moved up...hes being completely wasted on the fourth line...shelly needs to meet a volcano...why is he on the team

laviolette deserves time to tinker as the forwards are is filled with new and young faces...which is fine but it makes the bryz siging that much more wasteful...so they sign a 31 year old goalie for nine years at the same time they are overhauling the offense?...makes no sense...im not a bob fan but if you are gonna go young and hope all these kids develop why not do the same in goal and in a few years hopefully they all come together

of course you cant do this because the two best defenseman on the team are a hundred years old

which is the problem...

elder goalie in his prime

veteran defense on their last legs but can probbaly make one more run

brand new youth laden offense that needs a few years to either find out if they are good at all and if they are develop into their own

its a mish mash of a bunch of different entities that together equal nothing

I agree with IGY, but not to the hyperbolic extent that he's going.

This team is basically brand new. New players all over the roster. Youth all over the forward lines. New goalie. And they just lost their leader in scary screaming-like-a-little-girl fashion.

They have talent, so they'll be fine, but they need more time to figure out what works. In the mean time there are going to be ugly losses here and there. The question is how long will it take them to figure out what they have, what works on the ice and what doesn't.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Schenn broke his foot blocking a shot

Walker got demoted

Rinaldo and Gustafsson are back

Seabiscuit36

Lilja should have been sent to the pasture.  I had some hopes for him, but he seems to look like Modry out there.  I'd rather just give the spot to Gustafsson the spot.  He's going to be a 2nd pairing guy at some point.
