its always been a hit and miss show, i thought the execution last night as terrific. the laughs were a little lacking but the stuff with rickity cricket was great as usual.

the league on the other hand is great. its a totally random, seemingly disjointedly edited show but its funny most of the time so who gives a flying farg
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the league is everything curb wishes it was

the jewish episode i think last week was one of the funniest half hours of tv since king of queens prime...holy shtein it had me dying

yea, no. when curb does an episode well it blows any other comedy out of the park

though i will admit any kind of sukkot-themed episode has me rolling.

Still trying to figure out how I feel about this statement.

King of Queens had a prime?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Didn't see last night's yet, but the Shadynasty one was not one of the greatest.

Both episodes had a ton of potential but fell short of the mark. Aside from the Jersey Shore episode this season has been pretty mediocre.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Yeah, but that one might be the best ever.

SD

I think the Gail the Snail episode is the best ever

MDS

yea id second that

the physical sight of charlie chucking salt out of a bottle at gail is quite possibly the funniest thing theyve ever done

i caught up with this season yesterday...started out hilarious but yeah the last two have not been quite as good. the shadynasty episode was the worst so far but this week's had it's moments.

however the jersey shore episode is top 2 or 3 all time for me. that and the one where they try to go to the grand canyon, the wild card episode, are my favorites.

Mac and Dennis break up is probably my favorite. Frank's reaction when he found out Dennis swallowed apple seeds is so fargin ridiculous it's hysterical. The one where they try to become famous on public access is hilarious, where they keep getting Dee to save kittens from a burning building or well, and Mac "I just saved your life bitch!"

been watching friday night lights over the last few days...half way thru season two right now....

my tv viewing experience is small so i dont have a lot to compare it to but season one was one of the best seasons of tv i have ever seen...so good....

season two has fallen off considerably...ill probably keep watching at this point because all five years of the show were critically acclaimed but i could easily stop at this point and be fine

season 2 is horrendous and no one from the show is really backing away from that. ben silvermen forced the storylines on them and its just...yea. pretend it didnt happen. they basically drop everything anyway.

3 gets back to basics and its terrific from there....ending is superb. keep with it and you have no clue how proud i am of you for watching this, though now that i cover txhsfb i could tell you 10000 different little things that they took liberties with.

so can i literally not watch anymore of season two (i think im thru episode 6?) and just skip to s3 ep 1 and be fine...or do i need to suffer thru all of two or i will miss some important background that i need for seasons 3 4 or 5

pretty much. i would read the s2 recap on wikipedia just as a basis and then go straight for season 3.

though s2 is kind of like a rite of passage and gives you though the whole fnl experience. but im guessing by this point you realized the season is awful so i guess mission accomplished.

oh shtein im reading it now cause i was curious what it said....more or less fine except for the ending on a cliffhanger thing. thats not really the case and s3 starts with a new season so if the end of 2 is a cliffhanger they just totally ignore it anyway.
