yeah Coleman was awful in the first couple of games.

At least Nate Allen seems to be shaking off the rust a little bit.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Call Sheldon Brown in, see if he wants to make the transition to Safety.  He couldn't possibly be worse than these two.

Baldinger was on DNL this evening. He said he broke down the game tape with Diddy last night. According to him the D is even more pathetic than he originally thought. Said players are walking during plays and look like they have no desire to play. Two positives he mentioned were that he said Nate Allen played a lot better, and Brian Rolle really picked it up this week.

the nfl is awful this year due to the lockout.

if the eagles win this week they are in the hunt of the last WC spot

its actually the opposite....they have little chance at the wild card spot because theres too many teams theyd have to beat out and they simply arent good enough for that...however as FF pointed out they have a shot at the division....

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This will be a most interesting game to watch - especially as a fan of both on and off the field machinations. I am so excited to see this one play out I may watch it in real-time. Last year felt like 1995 - cunningham/mcnabb replaced by peete/vick with the ghosts of late 80's/early 90's talent firmly in rear-view mirror. Beginning of a long slide to 2000 punctuated by brief stops along the way with Watters/Detmers and other journeyman heartbreaks. Coach loses his team and Lurie makes his first and only (easy) firing.

Sunday will be a tipping point in many ways - but we know that. Big picture will this franchise have the balls to bring in the right leadership in the off season to take advantage of talent that is here, or will it slide another 5? Because these mistakes in coaching/gm judgement won't be paperer-over by even a .500 season now. Can they do it without promoting Reid "upstairs" to meddle and be willing to make a clean break? It's the only way to get an impact HC who will agree to come. Or do they put Capn Any upstairs and let him hire more castillos and mahe's thinking he can still pick em like the quant guys on wall street?

IGY has this right - let the FO "its always been a two-year plan" spin begin. But we know the real question is will this game signal a long wandering in the desert like 82-88 or 95-2001? And fwiw, I think the wandering began with the gasping and retching late in superbowl.

But as a an eagles/skins game, they don't get a lot bigger than this.
Endless regression to the mean

whats most scary is the future....regardless of who the coach is....its been overshadowed by the all in offseason and the juanny promotion...but the elephant in the room is the GM and his two drafts....howie staying in his position is more dangerous to this franchise than andy and juanny combined
