I just can't stop myself:

The natural conservative aversion and militancy to education dovetails nicely with anti-government rhetoric.  They get themselves into government power by preaching anti-government garbage to the lowest common denominator amongst their ignorant base, and then once in power, decrease the very same people's ablity to become educated.  It's a neat little package that allows them to hoodwink the poor who support them as they aid and abet (and themselves become if they aren't already) the uber rich.

So Democrats don't pine for the uneducated vote???

Statistics from previous elections show that Democrats pull  voters at a higher percentage from uneducated and overeducated(grad school plus) segments then Republicans.  Republicans, instead, pull higher percentages from high school graduates/college colleges and those with some college education.

When Jesse Jackson and Sharpton march through the streets to rally the Democratic vote, who are they targeting???

You can't really play the uneducated card when Democrats rely it on just as much as Republicans.

Also going to college and being swayed by the liberal rhetoric of your professors makes you just of much of a lemming as the religious right.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Way to follow your MSNBC talking points?

See how stupid that is?  I don't watch Fox News.  I don't watch any news, like most 20 somethings, I use the internet for my new consumption.

The ironic part is that nothing I said was incorrect.  The data is out there on the web from previous elections and educational statistics.  The claims that the conservative is dumb and uneducated, however, really can't be backed up, and is just another claim of the liberal circle jerk.

rjs246

Actually it can be backed up but, just like anything else, there is nuance to it. Demographics play a big role. Religion, geographic location, race, age etc etc.

Generalizing by either side is stupid and counter-productive. We should be trying to find ways to bridge our gaps. Not establishing lines in the sand and picking teams.

Both parties play to the lowest common denominator.  Dems tend to speak to the ghettos and other ethnic neighborhoods while the GOP sets up shop in trailer parks and poor rural communities.  It's organised crime and each family has their own turf.  Nothing more, nothing less.

even the smart republicans are dumb....hence the reason they so often vote against their own self interests

at least when the left does it its rich motherfargers like me who vote for people who will probably in the end take more of my money but who also will more likely give it to people and places who need it more than me

the rights version of that is to vote for someone who will make them poorer but thats ok as long as they are curb stomping a brown person in the process

Funny you mention this because this is the game Obama is playing right now.  The GOP supports something, so Obama makes it a talking point and lends his support to the idea.  The GOP simply can't allow themselves to be aligned with Obama on anything, so rather than move forward with it, they start backtracking and contradicting their own statements.

The fact that the first non-white president might get himself re-elected despite 9%+ unemployment and lousy job approval is amazing.
