First thought: This could mean a lot for Domonic Brown. If Howard needs surgery, John Mayberry Jr. probably goes to first base for a bit.

My fake outrage? farg you.  How much shtein has this team put you through?  I'm as pissed as anyone with the crap that was on display tonight.  You crucified us when we bitched and moaned all season about Herndon, the putrid offense, etc. Then you gave us shtein for belly aching about the horrid September stretch.  Now you sound like one of us.  What brought your sorry ass to the dark side?

This will always be remembered as the NLDS that Cliff Lee blew a 4-0 cushion.    As if we were surprised by the offense.  Bullpen was what we expected.  Stutes was spent by August 1, Lidge is an adventure and Madson is proving he's a legit closer. 

I love Cliff Lee but he picked one hell of a night to shtein the bed.  Bums up 2-0 after Sunday it's over in 4.

I'm numb already. Worst possible nightmare came true tonight.

cliff lee didnt pick that night...he had been terrible in his previous postseason starts...people thought hed be good but lets not act like something crazy happened to him that one night

the intelligent fans will put this on him but as a whole its laughable to think that his start is what this series will always be remembered by...id argue that the farther we get away from it the less people remember his night

now that its all said and done...i agree with you and sunny at least as far as this series....its phifer....he doesnt blow up again in the post season then they win this series...

haha my optism was a mask for my overwhelming pessimism.  Turns out I should just realize that I was born in Philadelphia in 1985, so I missed out on the only decade where Philadelphia actually won some championships.   Atleast you guys got to see Flyers and Sixers win a championship.  My earliest vivid memory was watching Mitch Williams serve up  Joe Carter's home run.  It hasn't gotten any better.  I think this championship collapse has now overtaken the Eagles' four years of farging me in the ass in 01 to 04 as my worst Philadelphia sports memory.  farg this team.  farg Cliff Lee for not holding unto a 4 run lead.  farg Hunter Pence for doing absolute shtein in the series.  farg Polanco for grounding to the same spot every at bat.  farg Chooch for having one hit.  farg Victornio for throwing the ball backwards then farging up the cut off throw tonight.. also farg him for crying like a homo when he opened up the Boys + Girls club.   farg Charlie Manuel for being an overrated manager and continually trotting out losers like Polanco to the plate when you know he was an instant out.  farg Ibanez for being an old piece of shtein with wads of tobacco in his mouth.  farg Chase Utley for his faggy necklace and his horrible base running... farg Oswalt... and farg Ryan Howard for hitting one home run and calling it a series... I'd like to shove a 5 dollar foot long up his ass while he floats in his Venice style lazy river nursing his flag ankle.

farg the Sixers for being a zesty franchise as well.. and farg Andy Reid for being a fat farging walrus...  and finally.. farg the girls and homo dudes on facebook that actually thanke the Phils on facebook or on tv or whatever.

Cardinals win 1-0 or 2-0
Phils win by 2 or more and Cardinals score 2 or fewer
