Ive never seen a team more ill-equipped to supposedly have a shot at superbowl than this team right here.

they never had a shot at the superbowl....one playoff win was their ceiling

now 8-8 is the most likely result

I called 8-8 before you, so you can't take it.  Go ahead and say 9-7, you funhole homer.

Also..weren't you the one saying they'd be 3-3 at the bye, so why the chicken little routine?

9-7 was my original guess.  Maybe igy can go all in for 1-15.

I am starting to think that 9-7 was being overly generous.  We were saying that the defense wasn't championship quality.  I'm not even sure it's NFL quality at this point.

SunMo

the more i think about that goalline series the more angry i get.

not only do you not give the ball to your top 5 rb in shady.  you have another pro bowl rb as his backup and don't even give him the ball.

no, you give it to Owen Schmidt...twice.

what?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

pretty sure we were sayin the defense sucked....its playing out exactly as it should....the offense is the dissapointment...even with this line this team should be putting up 30 a game in its sleep with the weapons they have

The offense is explosive - and inconsistent.  Looks like a world beater one series, then Vick fumbles or Jackson drops or Reidinwheg forgets Shady even exists.

But most were calling for 10 or 11 (some even 12) wins.  This defense not only can't stop the other team far too often, Coleman proved yesterday that the defense can't even get out of its own way.

the nfl is a pretty bad league so im not sure wins are always a perfect indicator

case in point they won 10 games last year without babin jenkins drc and assy and having the worst red zone defense in the last quarter century

So for years we've all been screaming for the Eagles to run the ball more. Yesterday they did so effectively and consistently. One of the main reasons you run the ball - even if it's not working - is to keep the defense honest. Once you establish that you can run the ball effectively the best thing you can do is play action. I don't think they ran play action once yesterday. Not only that but why not take what the defense gives you and make them adjust. Know what the Giants did well yesterday? They took the middle of the field and underneath stuff because it was there and the Eagles LBs and safeties blow. 3 of their TDs were on busted/fluke plays but that didn't matter because any time they needed a 1st down they tossed it over the middle or checked it down to the RB.

We all knew this team would need time to gel, what's frustrating is they're going in the opposite direction. It never ceases to amaze me how Eagles fans can see a teams weakness but the front office/coaching staff remains clueless.

LBIggle

that was the one thing i noticed too was the lack of play action.  the one play i did notice they ran it was the on the play where vick broke his hand. good stuff.

Rome

The linebackers are nowhere near NFL quality.   It's the worst collection of losers I can ever remember them having.

And Reid needs to go.  Not tomorrow or the end of the season.

NOW.

its not even a gameplan thing its starts with player evaluation

all you needed to do was watch one ohio state game and you could see kurt coleman has no business playing safety in the nfl...a half wit knew danny watkins was a terrible pick....ike reese saw two casey matthews practices and knew he couldnt play mlb....ect....ect...

but this is what happens when you have an accountant as your gm

and you get defensively outschemed because you have an offensive line coach as your defensive coordinator

I gave them a D in the draft thread, well I'd like to change that to an F. Worst draft since the Kotite years was spot on though.
