perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You don't want to get into a track meet with the Eagles on turf. Not even at home. Mike is extra motivated in his "homecoming" and has a big day. The D makes just enough plays to keep the game out of reach.

Close game in the 1st half but the Eagles D-line wears out the Falcons O-line heading down the stretch.  McCoy has another big 4th quarter run to seal the deal.

Tough game to predict. Matt Ryan is 20-2 after a loss and the Falcons can ground it and air it out. Turner is going to run over the D. I'll consider it a moral victory if he doesn't have 100 yards at halftime. The Vick aura surrounding this game is going to be insane. Falcons fans are lame but they do play in a dome and Vick is a guy that you either love or hate. Meaning the crowd will be into this one. My one concern with Vick is that he doesn't try to overdo it. He doesn't know his limits and at times lets his emotions get the better of him on the playing field (see diving tackle on Palomalau in the preseason). I thought the Falcons were overrated last season and still do. It's hard to imagine them falling to 0-2 while playing in front of the home crowd. I see this as a game the Falcons should win but in the end they just don't come out on top.

i dont see how atlantas back seven can keep the eagles under 30 pts....if this was the bedwetter in a spotlight id be very worried...but its superman and he wont dissapoint...if the line holds up even a little eagles will score 40 plus

on defense this is the strategy...lets say the atl has a hypothetical ten play scoring drive...now seven of those plays are probably runs...four or five of those runs gash the eagles...but on a couple others they stack up turner...now when they get the atl in those 3rd and sixes they use the corners and the pass rush to force a punt....in others words the run defense is irrelevant...whats important is the 3rd down defense...matt ryans home/road splits scare the crap outta of me but the birds get it done

I think the Falcons are pretty much the exact same team that they've had or the last couple of years and the Eagles have fared well in those match ups regardless of who the QB was....McNabb twice and Kolb once.  They've faced each other in each of the last 3 seasons, with the Eagles winning all 3 by no less than 13 points.  Granted, history doesn't guarantee a win, but it seems like the Eagles are just a terrible match up for the ATL.

I agree that the Falcons back seven will struggle to contain the Eagles weapons. I think the Eagles will protect Vick by moving him around quite a bit and having Shady active early. Defensively its going to come down to stopping Turner, obviously. ATL has been trying to force-feed their passing game with White, Jones, Douglas and Gonzalez. If they avoid establishing the run and want to throw a lot they have played right into the Eagles hands. Falcons also will be without a starting DT and their C

Just for the record I hope my hunch is wrong but I've had a queasy feeling about this game all week.   Maybe it's just because I hate night games like Havas hates green leafy vegetables, but I can't get past the feeling that they're going to melt down against the Falcons.

Best news is if they do end up shteinting the bed I can always turn the Phils on and watch that instead.

it would be a meltdown game with the bedwetter....vick wont allow that...not this week anyway

Did you notice he just had one?  Up 17-0 at halftime they basically got 75 yards total (other than the lateral play at the end) in the entire second half.

I am so glad they are rid of that loser.

ice grillin you

yeah i did....and now we have cobb with the ball and a minute and a half left to drive for a win...be something else if he pulls it off to go 2-0 and vick shines tonight while the bed wetter is 0-2 and has looked atrocious
