How many more games until DeVan goes back in the garage? He was the weakest link yesterday IMO.

My guess is Watkins starts game 3 - keep him out until they're through these first two away dome games and let him play once he can actually hear the line calls.

Some good points from Domo's "did you notice" stuff:

Quote-- Defensive-line coach Jim Washburn regularly rotated his two defensive-line foursomes. Ends Jason Babin and Trent Cole and tackles Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson were rotated with ends Darryl Tapp and Juqua Parker and tackles Antonio Dixon and Trevor Laws.

-- The Eagles often stayed in their base defense even when the Rams went to three-receiver sets so that they would be better able to deal with the run.

-- Safety Jarrad Page made a nice stop on wide receiver Brandon Gibson in the second quarter, preventing Gibson from getting a first down on a third-and-7 completion. Gibson picked up 6 yards and the Rams had to punt. Page also broke up a second-and-goal pass to tight end Lance Kendricks at the St. Louis 6-yard line. Page stepped in front of Kendricks and almost intercepted the pass.

That 2nd one is key and a bit of a surprise with their corner depth. But having some LBs that can move and two of the best corners in the NFL allows you to be pretty good against passing formations, even in your base defense. That said it keeps DRC off the field.

The play of Page could be key this year. Coleman has been a nice surprise as well, but with Allen still not fully healthy and Jarrett still learning, the very under-the-radar Page signing could be big... or he could be replaced with one of the other guys after his first bad game.

And a really good point from Kapadia:
QuoteEagles rushed more than 4 on just 7 of the Rams' 40 pass plays. Four of five sacks came on 4-man rushes.

QB Pressure without blitzing?  :drool

all those pts are easily explained by the fact that the rams have the worst wr core in the league and lost their best wr early in the game with an injury

but even above and beyond that fact the eagles have three starting top notch cb's so im not sure why they couldnt easily stay in a base defense against a 3 wr set

so i didn't see vick's little air guitar routine after the desean TD until this morning.

thinly veiled stab at #5?

also, mr. vick, do not tell the media you played "lights out" after a 14-32 day.

He also said:

Quote"The only thing I can dwell on right now is the stuff we didn't do well," Vick said. "I'm thankful for the victory, don't get me wrong. I just wish it could have been a little cleaner. But that's what it's about. It's work."

But haters gonna hate.

he probably said other things too.

i love vick but if he thinks 14-32 is playing lights out he is wrong.

Did you watch the game? Curious to see if you actually saw how many times receivers dropped perfectly thrown, or very easily catch-able, balls.

should be noted that i didnt hear the quote matty is talking about but if he said it it doesnt matter how many balls were dropped....

who says as an individual that they played lights out??

he should never say that much less after yesterdays game....that wasnt the taterskins game last year and it wasnt against the packers either

i heard him say it, it sounded stupid.  who cares.

Winnar.

Vick still says some dumb shtein.  See: last year sayin he was without a doubt the mvp before week 16 or 17.  No reason to say something like that.

Still, I'd rather have his unfiltered thoughts than Mcnabb's passive aggressive political correctness.
