Why do people bitch about the field? It's not like it's just an advantage for one team. Doesn't seem to affect Lee/Halladay/Hamels/Worely/Oswalt etc.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Saw on the WIP twitter feed that Gargano is reporting the Phils have expressed interest in BJ Upton & HOF is not part of the package

i mean he hasnt really been a good player since 2008 but even at his current numbers hes better than ibanez and hof.

plus at 27 he would inject some much needed youth, speed and defense to this squad. and he bats right handed. and probably wouldnt cost them any of the baby aces or compton john.

Heyman says Pence is off the market, so the Phils may go back to Beltran

There is some talk that Kyle Farnsworth is also being talked about.

One thing:  I don't know that the Phils have enough to get somebody if the front office is serious about not adding payroll. This could be a really disappointing trade deadline.

Season's over anyway. Pads dropped a 4-spot on us in the top of the 2nd.

they will get someone...theres plenty of players they can acquire without going over the luxury tax

the big question is do they go for one of the big guys or multiple players that would put them over and worry about the lux tax this winter when they will hopefully be coming off a ws win

phifer with 50 pitches thru two and went meltdown mode allowing a steal of home

That's just it - are they serious about not adding the payroll, or is that just Amaro posturing?
