So it turns out the reason Beckett didn't dominate last night was because he was suffering after-affects of the Flu.

So 80 cames into the season, just barely before the mid-way point, the Phils are half-way to 100 wins.  This has mostly been without Grit and an injury riddled bull pen.  Not to mention that Oswalt has contributed almost nothing, Blanton's been gone and Lee got off to a slow start but is finaLEE heating up.  Oh, and Kyle Kendrick and Vance Worley have combined for 11 starts.

I'd still like to see them add another bat for the post season and hopefully pick up a serviceable arm for the pen, but this team is right where they need to be.  It's been ugly more often than not, but wins are wins and the Phils got fitty of them before every other team in the bigs.

Anyone who doesn't expect an occasional loss is a nimrod.

What annoys me is when they're losing by beating themselves.  It doesn't happen very often and that's why they're the best defensive & pitching team in the Majors.

If Cy Young Frankenputz from nowhere shuts them out, that's annoying too but that happens to every team.

Not even three hitters done and I already muted the iceholes from ESPN.

Jesus Christ shut the farg up about bullshtein and just announce the goddamn game.  How hard is that?
