What i am saying is you can not put yourself in a victims family members shoes and say that there is no reason to release the photos - to think you can speak for the people that went through that is just crazy. I have a good friend who lost his brother in tower one who would kill to see the shots - and he should have that right.

You want to do a private viewing? Fine. Special White House picnic? Fine. I dont care how its handled, but if they choose to see the pics, they should be allowed to.

I don't think anyone was trying to put themselves in the victim's shoes. I can really only speak for myself, but I was talking about political/foreign policy considerations when I said it wouldn't accomplish anything. I'm sure there are a small number of people for whom it would provide some measure of comfort, but that was definitely not what I was referring to.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I agree 100% that, politically, it would probably accomplish nothing. But on the personal level, for a good chunk of the 9/11 families, I think its something many feel they need to, and should have the right to see.

ice grillin you

yeah im talking about publically releasing them...victims families have no say in that whatsoever....but absolutely they should be given special consideration as far as being able to see them at all

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Navy Seals claim it was him. You doubting the Seals too?

PS...this is awful:

Im not doubting the seals. I'm saying the pics imo would help. Sure any picture can be messed with, and i think this hit was legit. But not being totally transparent leaves windows of doubt in SOME people.

Maybe I'm just a morbid son of a bitch but I want to see him with a bullet in his head.

I think most people do.  I know I do.  But I also know that it would be stupid for the gov't to release those photographs now or any time in the near future.

Releasing or not releasing the pictures makes no difference to me. I would love to watch the digital footage that they watched live in the war room, but that's for my own curiosity. Wouldn't actually accomplish anything.

That footage would be the greatest 40 minutes in the history of television

I don't get the idea being put forward that al Qaeda would get upset (and more likely to attack) if the pictures were released. I think they're probably already pretty upset that bin Laden was killed. In fact, if the whole point is to minimize risk of attack, then killing bin Laden was a mistake. He was completely marginalized, and the US could have just kept tabs on him. Killing bin Laden was a vengeance killing by the United States. Strategically, there wasn't much use. Might as well go the whole way and "spike the football".

there will def. be a book and eventually a movie on it

some author will be granted access to the seals and get their stories, obviously keeping their identities hidden. i wonder what fake names theyll come up with...i would go with jon smith.
