such a big win last night....the flyers have to avoid tampa in round one at all costs and last night really helps with that

how about the flyers and sixers with great wins on back to back nights

Philadelphia is one of the finalists to host the 2012 Winter Classic, according to an NHL source.

A decision isn't expected until next month, and Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field are the venues being considered if the game is in Philadelphia.

It's somewhat surprising that Philadelphia is being strongly considered because the league frowns upon having it in a city where it could rain. The average high temperature in January is near 40 degrees. Then again, the game could be played at night, where the average low temperature is around 25.

TB is pretty much locked into 4/5 w/ Pittsburgh, so I don't think we'll need to worry about them. It looks like the Flyers are gonna face a team with an average offense but great goaltending (Rangers or Buffalo, maybe Carolina) and could face another one in the semis if Washington chokes again...

I'm assuming the Flyers aren't falling to #4. They could still be #2, but I'm saying Tampa isn't likely to fall past #5 anyway...

my point was that last nights win was huge because if they had lost theyd be tied right now for the 4 seed

hartnell just made such a bitch ass move...instead of going to the front of the net and taking the punishement to have a better scoring angle he sold out and tried to nudge the puck shortside...and all three announcers proceed to praise him for a great play
