Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteTHE WOODLANDS, Texas — A paid obituary for a Houston-area man who died of cancer recently urged mourners to, in lieu of flowers, "please make a donation to ANYONE running against" President Barack Obama.

James Harrison of The Woodlands died Feb. 27 at the age of 68. The obituary approved by his family also suggested donations to the American Cancer Society as an alternative.

Harrison was a retired food-service worker. John Rundlof, his stepson, told KRIV-TV of Houston that Harrison "was an avid Republican and just took that to the grave with him." Rundlof said Harrison wrote the appeal for donations to Obama opponents himself before he died.

FOXNEWS not conservative enough for Glenn Beck

QuoteSOURCE: 1st Quarter ratings due out next week show Beck has lost more than 30% of his total viewership vs. 2010 and nearly 40% of the core 25-54 demo...

Number of advertisers now boycotting show closing in on 400...

BURN, farger.

I clicked into this thread by accident. I hate politics in every way...which really makes it a problem when I get into a room with more than one other person.

Diomedes

You hate politics, so you've made a career for yourself working in giant hierarchal organizations.

Makes sense.

That's part of what made me hate politics. And as much as I hate politics, I like being able to keep a roof over our heads. That said, I'm not happy with the means by which that happens.

Diomedes

There are ways to keep a roof over your head which don't require as much political strategy and maneuvering.  Some of them are even legal, if not as lucrative.  But that's the rub, isn't it.  A roof, food on the table, these things can be had without all the bullshtein.  But you won't have as much to spare after the bills are paid, and you might have to live in a smaller house, drive a cheaper car, etc.  Having all those things makes you no more secure in the long run, but once you've got 'em it's hard to hand 'em back for something as hard to describe as dignity and happiness.

I require very little, actually. But I do put up with a lot for the sake of the family. Honestly, as much as I don't like it...I haven't seen or been offered something that I'm SURE I'd like more...so until that happens, I'll keep the family as comfortable as I can.

Zanshin

That said, my entire department was laid off last week...so, it may not be an issue. I'm pretty sure I'll land one of the fewer open spots, but it's not a slam dunk.

It's an honorable choice, I don't fault you.
