its been ridiculous......even when they were winning you could see they had issues but dont worry sunny says they will be playing for the stanley cup

I trust his opinion on the Flyers more than my own but think he's absolutely off his rocker. That said they were playing even worse last year and somehow made a run. So, hope springs eternal?

they barely made the playoffs last year but that doesnt mean they were playing worse than they currently are

they put themselves in a monster hole which caused to have to scramble to make the tournament but after the first 10 or so games of the laviolette era they played really well all the way to the playoffs and were hitting their stride at that time

this season has been the polar opposite...on fire most of the season and complete garbage heading into the postseason

yes any seed can win the nhl but its usually pretty important to be playing well heading in...i suppose they could flip a switch right before game one series one and be a stanley cup contender but that generally doesnt happen
