I was thinking the same thing as I was listening to the radio broadcast. 

Was it just the radio broadcast or was it another small crowd tonight?  Sure was quiet.

With Tom McGinnis screaming, well actually pissed off last night after blowing the 18 point lead, it's sometimes hard to even hear an F15 take off.

But the most surprising part of the evening occurred in the Sixers' locker room following the team's 125-117 overtime win. That's where forward Elton Brand, the team's leading scorer and perhaps most prideful player, embraced coach Doug Collins. You'd have thought that if there was any type of interaction between the two following the game, it wouldn't be of the hugging kind, as Brand played just 6 minutes in the fourth quarter and not a second in the overtime, finishing with a mere 12 points and five rebounds.

"The first guy to meet me in the locker room tonight after the game was Elton Brand," said Collins, his drenched shirt showing the effort all had to put in to record the team's eighth win in 10 games. "Elton Brand hardly played at all in the fourth quarter, didn't play in overtime and I took him out [early] in the third. It's a very, very tough game for him to play in. He came up and gave me a hug and said, 'Coach, I'm all about winning. Great job.' And that's what we're trying to build. That's why in a game like this you've got a chance to win because everybody on that bench is cheering for each other. And it makes it pretty special to coach those kinds of people."

But lets not use the word "adore" again when talking sports. Or in any other situation.
