perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

On Libya:

NO to "no fly zone."  Not even a partial one.   No bombing anti aircraft sites.  No shooting down planes. No bombing runs--no matter how "surgical" the military claims they are--on behalf of the rebels.  Whoever wins had better do it on their own, or their victory will never be legitimate.

YES to helping refugee Egyptians fly home.

Amen.  Haven't we farged with other countries enough, with a horrific track record to boot?

12 straight months of private sector job growth

I don't know how many months straight of public sector job loss

you'd think Republicans would be happy with this trend..

1. give wall street its bailout, they need our help

2. take money away from middle class teaches, they dont need their summer houses on nantucket

the end
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

From the Daily Show last night...

A chat between Jon Stewart and the Republican presidential candidate, supercomputer Raygun OS 9-11.

STEWART: I assume you're pro-life, right?
RAYGUN: Affirmative.
STEWART: All right. Obama's parents were married in Hawaii on February 2, 1961.
RAYGUN: Fine. They were married in Hawaii. But that doesn't mean he was born in the United States.
STEWART: No, but he was born August 4, 1961, to be exact -- meaning his mother was three months pregnant when she got married in Hawaii.
RAYGUN: So?
STEWART: Obama was in the United States as a fetus.
RAYGUN: Irrelevant!
STEWART: Don't you see? Either Barack Obama's an American citizen or fetuses don't count as people. Are you saying that a fetus is not a human life?
RAYGUN: No! Life begins at conception!
STEWART: So Obama's an American citizen?
RAYGUN: No!
STEWART: I'm afraid logically, you've gotta choose one.
RAYGUN: No! No! Illogical! Does not compute!

Disappointingly Illinois did away with the death penalty. I'm all for people dieing of unnatural causes

Diomedes

If you're so gung ho about it, go find a murderer and kill him tough guy.

In the meantime, we'll go ahead and not take the chance of letting the government kill innocent people, save a bunch of money, and move on to other problems.

The chances of me finding a guilty murderer aren't very good; att least the convicted death row inmate went through due process.

The death penalty isn't about justice, it's about vengence. And I'm perfectly fine with that.

The actual implementation of the death penalty, and its staggeringly unbalanced use along racial lines, is where I have problems. But the death penalty itself I'm all for.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.
