Don Ho

I love dogs so much that I'm going to wish injury on someone over their abuse!

Brilliant.

QB Eagles

Buerhle's wife is waaaaaaaaaaaaay into dogs.  The dude is just trying to get laid. I got a (non-Eagle fan) friend in the same boat. He thinks Vick served his time, but if he would express that opinion at home, it would be no sex for a while.

Rome

A buddy of mine is the same way.  He compares his farging dogs to other people's children.  After the Eagles signed Vick he and his wife made a spectacle of themselves on Facebook expressing outrage and vowing never to watch or cheer for the Eagles again.

Over dogs.

White people are funny.

What I want to know is why Pit Bulls are any more precious than cows or pigs. If Vick also ate the dogs after killing them, would it be ok?

I love red meat.

rjs246

It's not that he killed them, it's how he killed them. At least that's the only thing I can come up with between hunting/slaughtering animals for food and what he did. Cows and pigs and chickens and deer aren't strangled or drowned or electrocuted or rape-posted.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Really?  We're still stuck on the whole "What's the difference between killing dogs or cow or hunting deer?" thing?  I know Freddie's making a terrible joke but I still hear it from other places from time to time.  Seriously, if you really have to ask that question then you're some kind of whole new stupid.

ice grillin you

i would argue that industrial sized slaughter houses are as bad or worse than anything any of vicks people did to those ...the difference in the two is that dogs are pets and people are stupid

Slaughter houses are far from "ethical" in the way they treat/kill their animals, but it's still not quite as bad as fighting dogs and then tourturing them to death.  The only real difference imo is that the slaughtered cows and pigs serve a purpose and feed thousands of people.  The dogs were strictly for entertainment.  And while I'm not saying that the ends justify the means in regards to slaughter houses, but it does make the slightest bit of difference when trying to make a distinction between the two.

Rome

he sure as farg did.

i don't care about the cow or chicken i eat anymore than the dogs that vick slaughtered.  yeah, what he did was evil and horrible, but take a trip to a chicken processing center and tell me the fargs who own & run those places are any less demented.

farg it.  i heart cheeseburgers.

MDS

can we stop talking about What Vick Did

im over it, youre over it, we're all over it. except for a few choice animal nutjobs LET IT GO
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

i think we can squeeze another eight or ten pages over it.

ready... go.

Ever see Food Inc.?
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

It's a heartwarming film.

In related news, the only local place that can make a decent cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak disappointed me more than usual today. But I didn't waste a speck of it anyway, so the cow was not brutally slaughtered in vain.
