so from what I can tell, the general verdict on last night was:

Obama:  Presidential, even handed, another masterful delivery of an excellent speech (neverminding how any of it translates into policy, of course)

Republican response:  Canned, narrow, political.

Tea Party response:  petty, shrill, unprofessional

Rep response: Obama is a bad man who is clueless. We know better.

Tea Party response: Obama is a Muslim devil terrorist and he needs to die.
