4-star DT Ishaq Williams was 98% done deal to PSU.....then out of nowhere Notre Dame stole him overnight

he was nowhere near 98% to penn state unless you went on a penn state board...he never even visited penn state

in fact two weeks ago syracuse of all teams as the favorite...it was a fluid situation that ended up going notre dames way

Not sure how great any "ATHLETE" can be with a 4.6 40, but they beat out a gelding final year head coach and Brent Celek's alma mater for him, so clearly all the top schools wanted him.

Thats what he is listed at....kind of surprising he runs in the 4.55 and 4.6 range and is considered a 4 star athlete. Supposedly he will play WR but a move to defense is a possibility.

That single 4-star commitment "vaulted" them from 7th in the Big Ten to 4th in recruiting for this year (or from 8th to 5th if you include Nebraska).

Per Rivals, they now have the #35 recruiting class in the country, which is a hell of an improvement from where they were about a month ago but still not going to cut it if they want any hope of making up ground on Ohio State.

I believe at this point they only have 3-4 scholarships left. Supposedly Deion Barnes is a virtual lock......as far as recruiting a HS kid can be I guess.

4th in big ten recruiting combined with their player development = 5th or 6th in the conference
