Anyone seen a good movie lately?

the fighter - formulaic and predictable but awesomely done...its so easy in these type of sports movies for the film to turn cheesy but this one maybe had one two at the most typically cheesy parts...one part in particular where mickey wards mothers and sisters pile in a car to go to his girlfriends house is awful...and note to mark walhberg choose your roles more carefully and either dont take leads opposite people like christian bale or require that your contract includes some sort of sign off on casting choices....it was like tone loc having rakim guest on one of his songs...the acting gap btwn the two was a joke

I would give it a 8.5, Christian Bale was ridiculous in that movie.  It did have some cheesy moments but overall it was a great movie.

Black swan was good.   Its hard to identify with the main character when its so hard to decipher what is real.   Still natalie portman was amazing and mila kunis is hot.

Coraline was not as good as I was expecting.

Pontypool - really good.  Not your every day zombie flick.
I enjoyed it so much I'm downloading the book right now.

Really liked True Grit until the last 10 - 15 minutes.  Not that the end was bad, just odd, though I feel like that is true with many Coen brothers movies.

Anyway, as igy said, the girl in it is great, and Bridges is awesome.  Damon was fine too but I think it was hard to do as much with his role since it was a little more bland.

My favorite movies of the year (and I still would like to see King's Speech):

kids are alright--perhaps my expectations were too high but i thought this was middling quasi indie movie fluff. annette benning was great and julianne moore is off the charts sexy for an old ginger lady, but they just got from point a to point to point c way too quick. so their marriage is all good and shtein then they have some slight problems that coincide with mark ruffalo acting all cool and hot and so julianne moore fargs him....things get worse for the lezbos....she finds out....apparent resolution...movie over. stories with the kids were just all off the place, too. the girl who was supposed to be 18 looked like she was 12 while the dude who was supposed to be 15 looked like he was 20. still a fun movie and interesting watch but should not be even in consideration for the oscar

moore is absolutely disgusting in the kids are all right...and yes the movie was incredibly overrated...but thats because for the most part super bleeding heart liberals review movies in this country and they judged the movie on how it portrayed a lesbian led family...not on how good the movie was

in general i find her mildly attractive for a pasty white bitch...but in that movie she is gross...her legs in particular are stomach turning
