Enjoy freezing your ass off, when the sun sets midway through the first quarter.  I live 30 miles from the stadium, and would have gone to a game by now if they'd stop scheduling them in late Nov/Dec.

Jesus it gets farging cold around here.

The BIGSTUD

farg the Bears. The only way the Bears win is if the Eagles turn over the ball like crazy or the defense just does not show up at all. Cutler sucks, their offensive line sucks, and their defense while physical isn't as good as the Giants.

If you can contain Hester and Forte, they really have no one that can absolutely kill you, and it isn't like Hester and Forte are Andre Johnson and Adrian Peterson either.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I am confident the Eagles can win this game, but it is not a gimme.  This is a big game when it comes to setting themselves up for a playoff run.

Rome

this is exactly the sort of game the eagles usually lose because they just came off an emotional divisional win and there's bound to be a let-down.

i don't know, though.  this team just seems different for some reason.  it could be vick or it could be the youthful players not giving a shtein about what's happened in the past. i just get a weird vibe from this group - a cockiness that belies their actual production thus far.

i don't want to get my hopes up because whenever you do you just get crushed for your troubles, but...

ice grillin you

you have that feeling because they dont have a bitter bedwetting comedian at the most important position on the field

Despite the fact that the Giants lost they established a good game plan for the Vick-led Eagles offense and the Bears defense has the personnel to emulate that game plan. I see this as a total toss-up. Cutler is wild and chinless but he's certainly good enough to beat the Eagles defense. If the Bears contain Vick as well as the Giants did this is a game that will be within a touchdown the whole time.

The Giants have a better offense than the Bears do.  I have to imagine that the Eagles D can keep them in check as well.

i keep hearing this everywhere and i dont get it

the eagles were a couple dropped passes away from putting a 40 spot on the board...outside of 3rd down efficiency i dont see anywhere the giants game plan worked

eagles had 400 yards offense and average six yards per play

the giants defense is superior to the skins defense which is why they contained vick better than the skins did but i didnt see the blueprint of some sort of master plan that the rest of the league is going to emulate

DH

exactly...

the final score shoulda been somewhere in range of 44-17...if that actually did happen, everyone would be chalking this game up a semi-easy win..its clearly going to farg me come mid-january, but like romey said, i believe in this team..

This. 2 dropped passes in the end zone by Pimp and Avant. It's not like we're talking about Thrash or Small or any of the countless other receivers the eagles have had over the years who have unsure hands. These were freak drops that are caught 99x out of 100....especially the one to Avant.

90 of those yards came on two late McCoy runs. I'm talking about containing Vick and for 55 minutes of the game they kept the offense in check and limited them to 16 points. Vick had no room to move. Those drops were key of course, but what are we supposed to do? Discount the drops and say the Eagles actually scored 40 points when they didn't?

Look at the Bears/Giants game if you have questions about which team has more talent.

all im saying is 72 hours ago god himself couldnt contain mike vick....now there is a blueprint to stop him for everyone to see?

there is no blueprint and he isnt unstoppable all at the same time...the eagles had a perfect storm against one of the worst defenses in the league one week and played a hard fought tough game against one of the best defenses in the league the next week

these blanket overreactions in both diesctions are ridiculous

Aren't you discounting the 90 yards on McCoy runs for the same reason?

Exactly. Vick threw for 258 yards and completed 63% of his passes, scored a TD, and had a few others dropped. If that's called 'containing' someone then that's scary. From what I saw the Giants did what Jimmy Johnson did with the mush rush, but not every team in the league boasts the D-line the Giants do. They were successful from keeping him from running for big gains because their D-line is big and athletic.
