Quidditch now official at UF
   We assume most Floridians know that the University of Florida has a football team. Did you know it also has an official quidditch team, which receives school funding? Though we'll assume the funding isn't much, since the team couldn't afford to attend last weekend's Quidditch World Cup in New York, Gainesville.com reports.

   Quidditch, a game from the Harry Potter books, involves flying around on broomsticks, but the UF students haven't mastered that yet, so they run around with PVC between their legs as they fight over four half-deflated balls.

   It's a very physical game, despite being coed. But unlike basketball, bloody players don't have to leave the field.

I play Quidditch.  It is a physically demanding sport, much like soccer except the goal is a small round hoop in the middle of the field about the size of a basketball hoop and there is no goalie.

So at Caterpillar's HQ, they started putting up xmas decorations today. Aren't you supposed to wait until after Thanksgiving?

They're all over NE Philly. Shopping centers, light posts, houses, etc. B101 is already playing Christmas Music. I really don't mind.

Any of you freaks go out on Black Friday? Big crowds and stores are two of my biggest annoyances but there are some decent deals out there.

I usually am designated to go to one store for one specific thing.  And unfortunately, it's usually a 4am doorbuster at Walmart.

That said we got our coffeemaker two years ago for about 70% off and it is still going strong.
