-- The Eagles' oddly constructed roster bit them in the rear end of their defense, seventh-round rookie Kurt Coleman entrusted with deep coverage on a 57-yard strike. Coleman is one of three safeties on a team that seems to be trying to corner the market on reserve corners.

developing?

anyone who didnt see in the preseason that keeping only three safties with one of them being a 7th round rookie was gonna be a problem wasnt following the team

Only two years because no more world after 2012?

Eagaholic

Developing in the sense that we are still only in the beginning of the story of an inadequate patchwork secondary which will take at least a couple of years to straighten out.

Then the world ends.

not sure why it would take two years to revamp a secondary when they did it in two months this past offseason but whatever

They revamped the secondary this passed offseason?  If by revamped you really meant got rid of their best all around DB, then yes, they revamped it.

no way that was intentional

False.  I am here to entertain Rome.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Andy Reid watches the film and sees that his defense was bad at tackling and shedding blocks to the point where he'd specifically mention it in his press conference. Yet I'm sure he saw the same thing on tape last year in the Dallas games that embarrassed this team to end a season. He's bright enough to see this on tape, yet he refuses to go out and get a real stud linebacker.

Thank goodness we didn't spend a 4th on Lynch... we'll need another slew of 4th round picks to spend on irrelevant players who will never contribute.... Gold standard

The BIGSTUD

Lynch probably wouldn't have contributed either considering how much they run the ball, so I guess it breaks even.
