maybe im missing it but ive yet to see mcglynn be physical...in his defense hes a scrub and detroit has a nice line but he got smashed the whole game

Best you can hope for with McGlynn is no botched snaps, which he did. He'd be fine as a center if Cole was a decent RG. Even on double teams they were overpowered. Still holding out hope for Logan Mankins.

This is messed up. I was under the impression this was a rebuilding year. Start Kolb and let him develop with all the young talent around him. If he doesn't prove he's a real NFL qb, then you draft a qb in the first round of next years draft, which is supposed to be one of the best drafts for qb's since '83'. If Kolb sucks then a bad record moves you in the top of the draft to get a good pick.

And no, I'm not buying into the offensive line sucking enough to let him sit.

I agree with igy, this came from the top. From Banner and Lurie. It proves to me that all they care about is putting asses in the seats and making that almighty dollar. Win now and make that cash.

It seems that Reid doesn't even control what players are on the field anymore, at least at qb. Starting Vick makes no sense for the long haul. They want to win now and to hell with building a Superbowl contender.

east texas will see plenty of football this year - either here or somewhere. league will know if'n he can play surely by thanksgiving. vick won't last long or cobb will be long gone... one or the other he'll get his chance to slosh around the old brain bucket soon enough

What if Kolb sucks and then whichever QB they draft also sucks? What if the Eagles become one of those teams, and look around tons of them right now, who are constantly looking for their next QB? Why not go with Vick if he really has improved (which we will now find out) and see if they can capitalize on all the talent at the skill positions now?

Of course that would be awesome if it also meant Reid gets fired if Vick and Kolb both do not work out.
