I love how when you go to Philly.com right now, Smallwood's article "Why Kolb is the only choice" is still front and center.  How's he feeling about that article now?

Munson

Also, SalPal pointed out, which I did not notice, that during yesterday's afternoon press conference, the words "Kevin Kolb is my starter" were never said because it was never asked about, and the closest that it came to that was Reid said "We'll see what happens there, I'm not gonna get into justifying one guy over the other right now" or something to that effect.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Bob Grotz reported that it was solely Reid's decision.

Tough break for Kolb, for sure.

Oh, and all of the reporters (especially national ones) were bitching about 97.5 messing up the supposed conference call because of broadcasting. Not sure how, but whats up with your station, SD?!

MDS

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Munson

Yah Phreak, SalPal said that Reid and Roseman "had an exchange" and that Reid was the guy who wanted Vick to start, and that the state of the offensive line was the big factor (in addition to how Vick played)

Rome

putting kolb in back of those lumbering fat ass losers would be suicide.

Munson

I've been big Anti-Reid for a few years now, but the fact that he's the guy behind Vick starting and Roseman and the other jew wanted Kolb in there...I gained a little bit of my respect for Reid back. It's against his MO of stubbornly sticking with a guy even if the current situation doesn't suit that guy.

I still think Kolb should get a chance to succeed at some point...but the oline is so bad even Reid can see that putting him out there this year is not giving him the proper chance.

If 30 isn't that much older than 26, how much older is McNabb than 30?  J must be dying here.

i actually agree with reese in that the line is a poor excuse for this decision and just not true...theres been plenty of young qb's playing behind piss poor lines worse than this one...plus the line has been horrible since lehigh..also jacksonvilles pass rush is not good

if vick plays zesty this last game and a half then cobb is starting this sunday...behind the same line that supposedly would have him killed...lol at banner inc caring even a little bit about cobbs health in this case...vick is a better qb right now period...and thats why they put him in

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Munson

Apparently IGY's missing all the reports that Reid was the one who wanted Vick and not Howie/Joey

The BIGSTUD

If you watched Andy Reid's monday morning presser, then you could see how much he was drooling over Vick. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Munson

Yup. Usually he's all about restating his stubborn ass opinion, and instead said he wasn't going to justify one guy over the other.

But as was mentioned, the thing about Kolb is that he's fresh off of a concussion. Once you get one, others come easier.

reese125

so anyone with a concussion in the nfl should sit out the rest of the year?

Rome

this board is filled with concussion victims.
