This is crazy and honestly I don't even know what to think.  The Eagles have certainly been entertaining off the field since January.

this has 100% to do with the o-line. this is just a way for andy to not have to admit it sucks so bad. we've seen kolb with this o-line and we've seen vick not need an o-line.  easy stuff.

if this were true andy wouldnt have talked cobb up as the starter for the last two days....he would have named vick the starter.....or waited a couple days and then named vick...the offensive line has been a known disaster since the bengal game
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

andy doesnt have to admit anything...media heads can just pop the tape in

if you're benching kolb for the season because you're afraid of your future qb getting killed behind that horrid o-line--thats a Hoyda excuse and fire juan castillo

multi-millions of dollars are spent on 1st rd qbs with the most horrific o-lines in the nfl and they get sacked to shtein....but you still trot the guy out there for 2 reasons--get experience and try and win games..apparently to them kolb cant do that. andys ego is way to big to try and lose games.

This only makes sense if they win it all this year.  And it could be an epic train wreck.
They can't know if Kolb is serviceable, or even salvageable, from less than one half.
Maybe Reid et al. have determined Kolb can't succeed behind this line, and that may be true.
But how can you repair this relationship at this point?  Kolb is gone next year (assuming there is one), and then what?
Better hope for a trophy in 2010, because it ain't happening in 2011.

Kolb is done in Philly now.  Period.

If they try to start him next year or for an extended period of time this year short of Vick's leg falling off, then this organization is even worse than I thought.

after this...how could you even not at least think they wouldnt start kolb next season?

where the hell is his trade value now...one half of a concussion?

That's why I have to think Vick is here for the long haul.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I agree with this to a point.  If Vick plays like this for the rest of the season there is no way this team lets him go any where.

Maybe they suck so hard that they will, but I can't believe that.

If Kolb is your guy, you have to find out this year.  Take your lumps, see how he plays and go with it.  The team isn't good enough to just say "we're close, go with Vick".  Delaying Kolb ANOTHER year and destroying his confidence and his standing in the locker room and going to him next year would be beyond stupid.

You run out Vick.  If he plays well you re-sign him.  If not, you draft a QB in the 1st round.

Drunkmasterflex

That is assuming Kolb really can't play....no one knows at this point though.

I got a 100 spot that says that is exactly what Reid said at the round table before making this decision after watching the rest of the NFC east collapse this weekend

Eagles_Legendz

Which is why they should have stuck with him and found out.  They aren't going anywhere anyway, so no harm in that.  I just don't see how you can take the job from him just to give it back to him next year, and that isn't an indictment on his ability because I have no clue if he can play.  I'm just not sure how they can justify doing that.

It could be.  Like I said earlier, the rest of the NFC is hot garbage.  I just don't think the Eagles are any good either.
