I can hear Don Ho clapping from here

Better warn the wife and kid to prepare for three hours of my wise ass comment, swearing, furniture throwing, drinking tirade.

I may be to beat to get worked up as UH plays Army at 6 AM HST on Saturday.  No local broadcast so The Shack it is.

i absolutely do not always go negative...in fact i said the eagles could win i just dont think they will

This is textbook IGY.  This is why we love him.

because i think the eagles could win....you think its absolutely impossible that either team could win this game?....as dm said week one is so tough to predict

i mean i know the packers are better but come on

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

if you had just said "they could win if everything goes right but won't win because green bay is better overall" no one would be busting your farging balls.

the thing is, though, your bombastic forecasts of doom are typically tempered with just a sliver of possibility so that you can come back later and say, well, see... i said they could win! just to cover your ass.

it is classic you, dude.  and that's why we heart you.

show me one place anywhere ever that ive predicted a game wrong then came back and said i told you they could win...not like the 100's of times ive supposedly done it...just ONE...ive been asking this for years and suspect nothing will appear this time either but i always like to appeal for it every once in a while....what happens is a lot of people cant recognize the difference bwtn analysis and prediction

as for this game i dont think everything has to go right for them to win...as i said if the oline doesnt self destruct then they have chance

and i would say the only bombastic statement in this entire thread is that the eagles will trounce the packers

i've never seen anyone take such delight in predicting failure for teams you're supposed to be a fan of.

i know i've never seen anyone who bets against their own teams and has no shame in admitting that they enjoy making money off of the failure of teams you're supposed to be a fan of.

without sifting through 40,000 posts of yours i'd all but guarantee you've done exactly what i suggested and more than once.

and what is so bombastic about expressing a feeling (actually more of a hope based on the potential of the team as i see it) that the eagles are going to lay the wood on the packers, especially considering nearly every other member here is predicting the exact opposite?  it's a feeling.  i expressed it here because that's what this board is for, right?

whatever, though.  the homer vs. hater argument is so retarded and tired i can't believe i allowed myself to get dragged into it with you again.

IGY doesn't do the "classic IGY" unless someone points out that he was wrong. That's when he feels the need to say "RIF, I said they had a chance, dookie butta jaun!"

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Drunkmasterflex

I actually know quite a few people that bet against their teams.  They say either way it is a win.

that pretty much sums it up...youre a homer im hater...but just because we are on opposite sides of the fence doesnt mean you need to make up things that arent true

and the exact opposite of the eagles trouncing the packers would be predicting the packers trounce the eagles and i dont see anywhere near everyone doing that....and i dont know how you cant see how homertastic your prediction is...the packers are a sb favorite in the nfc and the eagles are in a re tool mode coming off a horrific preseason....there literally isnt a single reason to predict an eagle route...an eagle win i could maybe see...the only reason is as you said a "feeling"...and that feeling is called homerism

Yeah there preseason was pretty zesty, but under Reid I have learned their preseasons like most NFL teams mean all of about nothing.

thank you....its amazing how people dont get this...its also amazing how they would think at any time you are actually rooting against your team when doing this

i guess homerism is like being an evangelical christian and betting against ones own team would be abortion

actually eagles usually start off pretty slow...but your overall point is definitely valid...however i was specifically pointing to this preseason and how it gave no reason to predict an eagle rout in this game

From Domo:

QuoteWill Eagles be better covering the TE? Hard to be worse. The 17-game numbers (including playoff loss): 102 catches, 1,079 yards, 10 TDs

That is awful.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
