@EaglesInsider Eagles acquire G Reggie Wells from Cardinals for undisclosed draft pick >>> Does this spell the end of Stacy Andrews?

Apparently, there's a fire sale on Justin Hartwig. Would be silly not to kick those tires. Our O-line depth sucks, and I've got zero confidence in our Centers.

was hoping for this as soon as Pouncey outplayed him for the Steelers and the option was there.

not to mention Ive been saying for the past year that Jamaal Jackson is a below average center. He was getting pushed back like crazy almost every game no matter who was lined up across from him. add a f'ed up knee to the mix...forget about it.

PhillyPhreak54

I agree with adding Hartwig.

I like the Wells acquisition alot.

I saw the Vikes cut TE Garrett Mills. I could see him ending up here

Hartwig is really bad. I'm not saying he's worse than what the Eagles have, but I wouldn't expect him to be some kind of noticeable upgrade, based on what I've seen of him on the Steelers.

anyone that gets added to your team in the first week of september is bad

Donte Stallworth was pretty good for us a few years back.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

This team could be the worst in a while. It doesn't look like they'll be that good even if Kolb proves to be decent. The o-line will make sure of that. I can see him eating turf most all season, if he last that long. I don't see them having that good of a running game, the o-line will probaby make sure of that also. Looks like they'll be playing from behind a lot. Thats baaad. The defense isn't that good to start with and being on the field a lot means that even if the Eagles manage to be in the game late third or fourth quarter, they probably get beat in close games.

I hope I'm wrong.

Rome

I see a team that is actually better than the 11-5 team that made the playoffs last year especially on defense.

I get why some people are forecasting doom with Kolb taking the reigns but even if he's as good as McNabb was last year they're still going to be better on defense and that means they'll be better all around.

shorebird

They could be better on D, and probably will, but there are question marks and better than what they were last year might not be good enough anyway. You have a rookie starting opposite Cole, and Bradley coming off of knee surgery. I like Nate Allen  at FS, but he's one of 4 first year guys in the defensive backfield's depth chart. I like the fact that they've aquired young players with potential, but injuries there could mean problems.

The offense has even more questions. The o-line looks to be one of the worst in the league. There is no depth at RB, and it remains to be seen if Shady can carry the load for the entire year and playing behind this line doesn't make it look good for him. Even with WR's that will be better, (I like Cooper), and a pro bowl TE it doesn't look like it will make a difference with the lack of a effective line.

Wtf are you looking at?

Kolb's oline in front of him is an orthopedic surgeon's wet dream and they have no backups.
The defense is not exactly making me think they'll stay in games unless Kolb and his WRs have career weeks...every week.
Special teams were...well, special...in preseason.

Yes, I am a huge Sheldon Brown fan, but in as unbiased of a statement as I can make, losing him was huge. I have zero faith in the secondary for this team now....and I didn't have much faith in it even with him there.

The ONLY thing I see being better is LB...and that's because they have Stewie back.

6 wins.
