so the appraisal on my house came back 10k under what we were expecting.  Apparently the appraisal douche didnt even do any comps with finished basements(Bar Fridge Included).  Well done ass hat

When you have highly customized upgrades, it is often hard to find accurate comps.  It's never good to have the nicest house in the neighborhood.

well, since we offered them a shteinload in settlement help, it's going to put us farther down than where we want to be to buy the house we've looked at twice in the past week.  Went and looked at another property, 2.5 acres on a creek, love the place except i think the owner 86'd himself since there is a noose in the garage, and my realtor and i saw someone in a window and no one else was there.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I just dont see what other need you would have for a rope tied and triple secured from the rafters, and cut exactly where you would cut down a body.  sucks, because this is the view from the house   We also found that it needs a new roof.  Sucks because the property is so nice

Could it be for lifting an engine block? Or the front of a lawn tractor? It's probably something relatively innocent, and you're just applying your deep seated desire for evil. LOL

the placement was really odd, its a nice garage, so i dont think he was stringing up a deer in there.  Not strong enough for an engine block.  I really have no clue, but seeing the person in white walk in the window in the garage, when no one was there was odd.  My realtor was the first to notice it, and my realtor is my dad so i trust the guy.  I saw it too, and this is before i mentioned to anyone about the rope.  Its just odd.
