Last night I watched the Dodgers suck it up against the Padres and thanks to zesty outfielding play by Podsednik, the Padres scored two on an inside the park home run. Got me thinking what else I've seen live. These are some of the things I've seen.

Baseball

1. Inside the park home run
2. 4 Back to back home runs
3. Game winning home run
4. Grand Slam
5. Home Run that left the park (McGwire during batting practice at Dodgers Stadium)

Hockey
1. 8 round penalty shootout with home team winning (I don't even know if I said that right)

Basketball

1. Game winning shot (High school...our school won)

Football
1. Interception off a bounce off the WR's foot taken back to the house (High School....again, we won)

You know...its easy to say that certain NBA players 'suck' when we compare them against the superstars...but put them anywhere else...and they're incredible. Doesn't surprise me about Reddick...must have been cool to watch.

Baseball-I actually turned a triple play by myself in little league. We were only 11 or 12 so it wasn't anything amazing considering how dumb kids are running the bases at that age. But still not something that happens every day.

Football-I saw Kevin Kolb's first start lolz...maybe that'll be something to brag about some day

In high school during the championship game, we tied the game up with minutes left in the 4th quarter on a 4th and 1 play action touchdown pass, then took the lead in the final minute when our LB blocked a punt and forced a safety. Definitely the most exciting moment for a football team that I played on.

Basketball-Watched Elena DelleDonne drop 50 points on the other team in the girls basketball state championship, which not only set a record but also outscored the entire other team's score.

I havn't been to a Fyers or Sixers game since I was too young to remember what games I really saw.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I saw the Westbrook return against the Giants at the Meadowlands.  Easily the greatest sports moment I've been party to.

my old lady was at the game Ripken sat out, ending his streak.  she had no idea who he was or what it meant

Oh, i'm sorry, next time i will check with you to see if my list of events is cool or rare enough to post in a thread about cool or rare events i have been at.

Maybe KDS has an opinion on this?

Best games in each sport:

Laettner shot.
4th & 26/Super Bowl.
ECF game 6 vs TB where Primeau scored with 2 mins left to tie it (weak I know but it was nuts in there).
Nothing really odd about a Phillies game I've been at.  Was at Game 5 part 2 as well.

Don Ho

Wow, now I've got to think.

Baseball - saw a no hitter back at old Honolulu Stadium.  It was triple A ball, Hawaii Islanders vs Tacoma Twins.  I was just a young kid and can't recall the dudes name on the Twins but it was very exciting seeing the Hawaii fans cheer for the guy in the bottom of the ninth.

Basketball - saw Chaminade beat Denny Crum and Louisville.  Not quite up there with their beating of Ralph Sampson and Virgina but still a lot of fun.  OK sixer fans remember Ron Anderson?  Saw him with Fresno State in that same Chaminade tournament.

Football - first Pro Bowl in Hawaii.  Yes the game is a joke but i will never forget the feeling as young kid and walking into Aloha Stadium and seeing my first NFL player, Roger Staubach of all people.  I was in heaven seeing Harold Carmichael, Jaws, Wally Henry - who actually returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown.  To a kid it was like  Christmas morning.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

Rome

I saw the Eagles lose the Super Bowl, the Flyers lose the Stanley Cup and the Phillies lose the World Series all in person!

SunMo

i was there for 4th and 1, twice and it's my all time favorite sports moment
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
