you need to work on that.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

anyone get the call that season tickets were available?

called the guy back and they are only $2850 per seat for the year.

what a bargain.

Munson

Damn right I think the guy starting for the first time is going to be a turnover machine, but the homer in me is hoping that this first year of experience as full time starter will help him grow when it comes to reading defenses/making quick decisions/not staring down his guy.

And I'm sorry I didn't realize hyperbole was a rarity around here. His arm is not strong (youtube the NO game and watch the few out routes he throws....feels like the ball is in the air forever...if Asante is a Saint in that game, that ball is hawked). Any CB that likes to jump out/slant/comeback routes is going to have a field day with him if he's still staring down his receiver/holding the ball too long because he doesn't have the arm strength to make up for it. If he can progress on those other, more important intangibles, the homer in me is getting a little excited.

I'm hoping for Aaron Rodgers at this point.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You're hoping for him to be one of the best young quarterbacks in the league? Weird.

Aaron Rodgers is still a 2nd tier guy at this point. Even the talking heads are talking about him "taking that next step" to be one of the best this year.

One poor throw on an out pattern in his first start and now he has a weak arm is what you're saying? Makes sense. Guess McNabb was a running QB his entire career because he only passed for 11 more yards than he rushed for his first start.

:-D

The thing is he does have some arc on the ball because he is not McNabb trying to impale a guy with the football....its called touch.

I'm hoping for Phillip Rivers. Crybabies fondly remind me of this board

58TD / 20 INT in 2 years doesn't exactly scream tier 2 to me.

Munson

yes, just one throw, wasn't the couple more out routes or the come back routes either. Just that one throw.

Diehard-Manning, Brady, Brees, and maybe even Roethlisburger are still above him, if anything because they do more then just put up gaudy regular season stats...Then you get into the Rivers, McNabb, Rodgers, etc....Which is probably as good as Kolb has a chance to get if he pans out. Good enough to carry a team to a SB? Eh...none of those guys have yet..

Westbrook was never injury prone either, remember.

Off field issues not withstanding, would you really take Rivers or Rodgers and their playoff record over Reothlisburger and his 2 SB wins?
