That sucks.  He was always a little left of me, and I thought he let his opinions bleed through a little too much.  But I've listened to NPR religiously since 1993, and he's been there the whole way.  I'll miss him on the radio.

As a commentator yes, he showed his opinion.

I specifically didn't use the word biased.  My experience with Shorr was always as a special commentator, with editorials.

I did.  He was also the first westerner to interview Nikita Kruschev.  He had a helluva run.
