I don't think anyone cares about potentially cutting him except for the fact that the team will have no viable backup for when the OL falls apart and Kolb gets injured. Not that Vick is exactly reliable, but at least he's taken meaningful snaps before. Their other option is a 5th round project rookie from Northwestern. FML.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

they most likely arent making the playoffs with their starter much less with vick...im not suggesting they go into the season with mike kafka as their #2 but there is always a plethora of bck up qb's to be had and not cutting vick because you dont have a veteran #3 or 4 man currently on the roster is not a reason

its not like vick can play and the eagles are a superbowl contender

i actually dont even care if they cut vick...in fact im sort of against it because its hilarious seeing banner inc squirm thru this and it will be fascinating to see how long they hold out before they admit what a horrible mistake they made by signing him in the first place or not admit it at all

QuoteFootball camp director rips Vick for "selfish act"
Posted by Michael David Smith on July 11, 2010 2:37 PM ET
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has been barred from leaving Pennsylvania, which means he couldn't participate in the football camp he had committed to attending this weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina. The director of that camp wonders why Vick didn't bother to tell him.

The camp director, Cornelius Corprew, says that he never heard directly from Vick and was only informed that Vick wouldn't attend when he received a 2 a.m. phone call from one of Vick's handlers.

"They called early, like 2 o'clock in the morning, telling us he's not coming," Corprew told the Associated Press. "And then we couldn't speak to him. It was through one of his associates. We're not crazy. No state agency is communicating at 2 o'clock in the morning that he's not allowed to come. I think that was a selfish act."

Corprew says he's already paid Vick $2,000 for agreeing to show up to the camp, and that kids paid $175 each to attend, with the promise that Vick would pose for photos and sign autographs.

"I'm upset because our camp is built on integrity and character and that's what we teach to our kids," Corprew said.

Vick also missed today's Michael Vick Celebrity Golf tournament in Georgia, and organizers of that event also said Vick's representatives called them this morning and said he wouldn't attend.

Even before Vick's travel was restricted by his probation officer in the wake of the shooting that took place outside Vick's 30th birthday party, Vick was seeming to make a habit of taking money in exchange for agreeing to show up to an event, then skipping it. Vick was also a no-show for a party in Florida that he was paid $5,000 to attend last month.

Meanwhile, reports continue to mount that the Eagles will not stand behind their previous claim that they won't release Vick. According to Geoff Mosher of the Courier Post, the Eagles' public comments mask the fact that behind the scenes, they are preparing for life without Vick.

So...their camp is built on integrity and character. Way cool. And of all the NFL players they could invite, it's Michael Vick. And the parents shell out $175 with the promise of the kids meeting and having a picture with him. Dumbasses who associate with Vick in any way get what they deserve. And that includes the Eagles.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteRICHMOND, Va. (AP)—The trustee in Michael Vick's(notes) bankruptcy case is seeking repayment of at least $2 million that the NFL quarterback doled out to friends and family members in the months before he was sent to federal prison for running a dogfighting operation.

A complaint filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News says Vick knew his lucrative career was in jeopardy and that he would be facing huge legal bills, yet he continued to shower friends and relatives with gifts and cash. Those assets, trustee Joseph J. Luzinski argues, should have gone to Vick's creditors.

Attorneys for both Vick and the trustee say such filings are not unusual in complicated Chapter 11 cases like Vick's.

it's common because many people try to hide their money before the bankruptcy courts get their hands on it for the creditors.
