Laviolette has been exactly what this team needs.  Regardless of whether you think coaching has a significant impact, he has pretty much been perfect for the Flyers.

i dont know how you could say he hasnt had a major impact...the number one reason where they are i would say

They sure did and it was a weekday, if I recall? My whole house was sound asleep. I was screaming and yelling at the TV and my mom was super pissed.

I think he has.  Some people don't think coaching has a significant impact in hockey.  I think Laviolette's role right now is proving them wrong.

Pretty sure game 7 of the 87' finals didn't start at 10, more lke 7. I watched it with my old man and uncle's and I remember it ending at a decent time.

You're wrong. My whole house was asleep. It was on may 31st and it ended on June 1st. I remember it being talked about how the season went too long into the summer. Funny in retrospect.

i was well into the flyers 2001 run but somewhere after there i just stopped caring. i remember being minimally invested in the 2004 run, though. i have no recollection of what happened between 02 and 04 but i went from being a big time flyers fan to being an extremely casual fan to now, not seeing one second of this game and not caring one bit.

i have no reason why, it just happened. and i dont feel like ive missed anything...until apparently now.

blame tv. thats become my 4th sport.

My earliest memories are actually from the video games....I remember playing as the Flyers in what I think was NHL 95 for...sega? That game was the shtein


I still vividly remember the 97 cup, and seeing the brooms out and all that shtein...farging sucked.
